Street Cha-Cha-Cha Beginner Workshop
(by Jackson & June)
Wednesday, 23 July
8:30pm to 10pm
Fees: $25 per person
Cha-Cha-Cha is a latin dance that evolved in the 1950s from Rhumba and Mambo. The dance consists of three quick steps and two slower steps danced to four beats. Street Cha-Cha-Cha has many moves that can be converted into salsa and vice versa, hence those who dance salsa will find this dance easier to learn. Street Cha-Cha-Cha is danced on-2 (i.e. on the second count of the music).

Webster's Farewell Party - Thursday 28 February @ DXO....
Dear Salseras y Salseros,
Most of you who has been dancing for the past years may be familiar or know Webster, one of the pioneering salseros largely responsible for building the salsa scene in Singapore since 1998.
Webster founded the first salsa forum (SalsaInSingapore) and has been instrumental in organizing many "Dancing Buddies" parties over the first few years when salsa was introduced in Singapore in 1998. Together, we organized a few Salsa Batam getaways, salsa parties, and the first Super Mario workshops back in 2004. We had also introduced salsa to Union Square in 2002, afterwhich the club dedicated 1 night a week to salsa, subsequently 2 nights a week, and eventually becoming a full fledge salsa club!
Webster will soon be moving to Shanghai with a new job and we're sad to see him go. Nevertheless, he has a great career opportunity ahead and we'd like to wish him all the best.
There'll be a farewell party for Webster on Thursday 28 February at DXO. To all of Webs' friends, please come join us to bid farewell to this big guy.
Cheers,
Jackson
